Well we were trying to plough through the snow this time last year. At least we can get around to see the Delights of Dublin at Christmas this year. From the lights and shop displays on Grafton and Henry Street to the buzz in all the pubs around town. Christmas on ice at Kilmainham and White Christmas the musical at the Grand Canal theatre what other reasons would you need for a trip to the Capital.

Well done to the Ireland soccer team for qualifying for Euro 2012 in the Avia Stadium last night. It great to have the apartments so close to the stadium and we can feel the atmosphere as the fans walked down to the match. Can you believe it is only 5 weeks to christmas from Sunday! Help! The lights have been switched on in the city centre so there has never been a better time to come and visit Dublin.

Well dare I mention Christmas at this stage but there is only 7 weeks to go! The RDS is having there Toy show on the 18th -20th November. Main Hall, RDS is over 3000 Sqm. The show will bring you over 1000 Sqm of Toys, Toy demo areas, a live stage and the ISPCC winter trail which features reindeer stables, workshops, mail room, the elf village and not forgetting Santa’s House.

What a night it was in Dublin. We though the rain would never stop. Thankfully none of our apartments were damaged by the rain. Looking forward to welcoming everyone who is staying with us and running in Dublin Marathon. Good Luck to all running! Then it will be a spooky halloween night after the marathon. Happy Halloween!

It will be another early start for everyone tomorrow morning to watch our world cup rugby team hopefully beat Wales and continue on to the semi finals. With the nights drawing in it is that time of the year when we need a break to cheer us up. With some many nice things on at the Grand Canal Theater from Mama Mia to Richard Clayderman and our apartments are just 5mins walk from the theatre and 5mins by taxi to the city centre it is an ideal time for you to come and stay with us.

Wow! isn’t the weather fabulous at the moment. Well I should really say that summer leaves but Autumn is here with us already & I love the many colours of the leaves of Autumn! With so much going on in Dublin over the next few months it is a lovely time to visit our wonderful city. We have the greyhound derby on this weekend (9/10 Sept) in the Shelbourne Stadium which is just opposite our Southdock Apartments. Of course next weekend the Dubs are going to match the Kilkenny Cats and bring the Sam Maguire back to Dublin (we hope)! For those of you who like a night at the Theatre the Grand Canal Theatre has a very varied programme between now and Christmas from Physic Sally to White Christmas the musical.
